Information Communication Technology and Public Relations Unit
The Unit of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Public Relations
Unit was introduced in 2013 aiming to perform different activities without
breaking the Law and follow the National Policy regarding ICT and PR.
Functions and Roles
•Develop, maintain and review of ICT strategy, activities and operations
•Enforce standards and procedures pertaining to the application of ICT systems throughout the Council.
•To develop (in-house or outsource) required Information systems according to Council specifications.
•Oversee, develop and implement a coordinated and integrated management information system
•Implement and maintain hardware and software infrastructure systems of the Council
•Coordinate and provide technical support to end user of ICT systems solutions.
•Manage programming and database administration including management of central database, websites and Internet.
•Provide user supports and training concerning the ICT usage, troubleshooting of ICT resources and maintenance.
•Promote and provide new ICT technologies awareness for Council staff members.
•Prepare specifications , test, approve, certify and register all ICT equipment of the Council.
•Promote Ministerial activities, programs and policies
•Produce various documents on Sectoral and Council reforms.
•Distribute reform documents to stake holders.
•Coordinate press briefings for the Council.
•Coordinate preparation and production of Council articles and news papers
•Up-date Council information in the website.
